A motorbike adventure
If you're anything like us, you'll have too many books. Way too many books. Piles of books, shelves of books, stacks of books; heck, even a substantial number of books about books.
But, we reckon you could do with another one.
Our friend Iain Crockart, photographer and designer by trade, has just put together a wonderful new book, A motorbike adventure, documenting his journey on a 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet across the Himachal Pradesh region of India last September. The area is also known as the Land of the Gods, and for good reason. It's breathtakingly beautiful, and the book is a sumptuous feast, documenting the journey Iain, 27 other bikers, 7 guides, 3 medics and 6 mechanics took across this incredibly remote part of India.
We're not just shamelessly plugging a book by a mate though - it's been produced to raise money for the Enduro Africa charity ride Iain is doing this coming October along the Wild Coast in South Africa. The ride will see 200 bikers raising money for three children's charities working in South Africa: Unicef, Sentebale and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. You can choose how much you want to donate for the book, and the money goes to the charities. Fantastic.
You can read all about it, and see sample pages from the book, just here.
