MAP Strategic Communications

Project Type:
Branding

Client:
MAP

MAP is a wonderful new independent strategic communications consultancy founded by Helena Zedig and Miles Evans. They asked me to put together an identity for their new business – including logos, stationery, presentation decks, illustrations and a website.

The consultancy focuses on the intersection of three areas: People, Place and Culture. They also have three interwoven strands to their work process: Orientate, Navigate and Activate.

So I combined the idea of mapping and direction with the number three, in the form of a geometric shape. The capital A of the word MAP becomes an equilateral triangle, with an added stem to create a directional arrow.

The identity has a looseness to it, allowing it to flex and change for different contexts, with the shaft of the arrow sometimes being short, sometimes long, sometimes straight, sometimes curved.

“We love nothing more than collaborating with brilliant creatives who take the time to understand what’s needed, and then build on your ideas to make them even better. A good process is essential for achieving a great outcome, and from start to finish, we’ve had a fantastic experience with Alistair. He helped us distill who we are, what we do and, crucially, how we do it in the most compelling way. The results speak for themselves – we couldn’t be happier.”
