Penguin are keeping themselves busy with various anniversaries lately, and the most recent is the 60th Anniversary of the Penguin Classics.

To celebrate, they've commissioned Manolo Blahnik, Sam Taylor-Wood, Paul Smith, Ron Arad and Fuel to create cover designs for their favourite books, in a limited edition series called the Designer Classics.

From the pics we've seen of them they look like an interesting bunch, but at £100 a pop we're not about to order a set just to check them out. Though the Fuel one does sound interesting... and Sam Taylor Wood's picture looks pretty good...
