Little People – a tiny street art project

Littlepeople

Life in a big city can grind you down, what with the crowds, the transport nightmares, the relentless greyness of it all... eeurgh.

So it's massively refreshing to stumble across something that brings some joy back into life; particularly when it's free and not trying to sell you something.

Last summer London hosted the Sultan's Elephant, the physically immense theatrical event which did just that.

And now here's something which, though right down at the other end of the size spectrum, has the same emotional impact.

Little People is the work of artist Slinkachu, and is a series of "little hand painted people, left in London to fend for themselves". With echos of The Borrowers, but with a much darker wit, the little people are out there. Keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks and that to Charlie at Tantramar for the linkage.
