The Doorbells of Florence
Andrew Losowsky is an indecently talented guy.
He's the writer and editor of the rather excellent Le cool changed my life: a weird and wonderful guide to Barcelona, which on its own is frankly enough of an accolade for most people; but on top of that he writes for a series of cutting edge publications, has worked on a couple of plays, and takes a pretty good photograph too.
He's partnered up his photography and writing skills on the Doorbells of Florence, a Flickr collection of photographs of doorbells and short stories inspired by them (already dubbed Flicktion). It's a whimisical, witty and thoughtful set of tales, given added weight with the photographs. Somewhere between a book and a film perhaps.
It's now available through the online publishing store Lulu.
Thanks to Gene for the linkage.
