Levrier Cycles
Sunday saw us hanging out at the latest Ephemera Society Fair over Holborn way.
We picked up this groovy catalogue for Belgian bike manufacturer Levrier, circa 1935. It's all done in black, white and red, with what looks like an ageing Dan Dare on the front cover. We did a quick Google to see if we could find any background information about the company, but turned up little, other than the fact that a Levrier is possibly a type of greyhound?
We particularly like the illustration of the two men and two kids on one bike. How modern is that? Gay parenting and eco-transport in one image. Though the health and safety gang might have a few objections...
The next fair is 15 April, at the Bonnington Hotel, Holborn.
