RDI Summer School 2007

Rdiss07

A country pub in the Cotswolds, 30 or so young(ish) designers and engineers, 12 slightly more senior Royal Designers, and a handful of other folk playing the role of 'wildcards': the extraordinary RDI Summer School, now in its seventh year, took place last weekend, and Alistair got the chance to moonlight as the photographer-in-residence once again. You can check out his pictures at the school's Flickr site.

There's a tendency not to say too much about what goes on at the summer schools, except to mention that they can be quite life-changing. So, in a bloggy kinda way, we've decided instead to give you a list of quick links to just some of the folk who were there - and they're a pretty impressive (and deeply lovely) bunch...

Mark from Concentrate - great product design for kids and schools

Helen from Counterparts - a simply delicious composer

Chris and Ed from Expedition - brilliant engineering

Richard from Goodwin Hartshorn - sharp industrial design

Amy from Keep & Share - tasty knitwear
