Shepard Fairey

Shepard_fairey

We found ourselves back over at the Old Truman Brewery* on Brick Lane today.

The event was Shepard Fairey's new show, Ninteeneigthyfouria, which opened at Stolen Space just over a week ago, and has one week left to run.

If you only know him from his Obey stickers that proliferate around the city (and the world), then it's definitely worth getting along there. The show is massive (over 150 pieces), as are many of the works on show. Check out more of Alistair's pics on his Flickr set, and read more about Fairey in this Guardian article.

Check out the area around the gallery too, for some of the 30 or so sites that Fairey has made his own. Perhaps even nip over to Cargo for a drink...

*Did we miss a memo? Do all the hip design-related events have to take place over there now? It's a fantastic space, so we can hardly complain, it just seems to lack a bit of imagination, y'know?
